Salt Water:

Mix a heaping tablespoon full of salt in a small glass of warm water; swirl around inside your mouth for as long as you can, spit out. Repeat as needed.

Tea Tree Oil:

Just a drop or two will do the trick. You can also add some to a cotton swab and hold in place or add a few drops of tea tree oil to a small glass of lukewarm to warm water and rinse your mouth with it.

Oil Of Oregano:

Mix a few drops with a bit of olive oil, then saturate a cotton ball with mixture. Can replace the olive oil with lukewarm water if preferred.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

Soak a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar (ACV) and hold it in place. Can also try regular household vinegar.

Ginger Root:

Take a fresh piece of ginger and chew it a bit.

Garlic:

Take a clove of garlic, smash it and apply (settle it inside cheek). You can also mash some garlic with salt.

Peppermint Leaves:

Chew on fresh peppermint leaves. You can also dried leaves, just hold them in place.

Potato: Cut a fresh piece of potato (raw, skin off) and hold in place. Can also pound a piece of raw potato, mix in a bit of salt and use the mash.

Onion:

Slice a piece of fresh onion and hold it inside your mouth. The onion needs to be freshly cut (so it provides a bit of onion juice).

Cucumber:

Slice a fresh piece of cucumber and hold it over the sore area. If refrigerated, you might want to bring the cucumber to room temperature before using (if sensitive to cold) otherwise a cool piece can be soothing.You can also mash a piece with a bit of salt and pack it around the sore tooth.

Cayenne Pepper: 

Make a paste with cayenne pepper and water and use on that area.

Black Pepper:

You can use this full strength or make a mix of pepper and salt and use on that place

Cloves:
This is remedy from the old timers (my great grandparents), rest a clove against the sore area until pain goes away. You can also use a drop or two of clove oil (BE CAREFUL: too much can be toxic) or make a thick paste of ground cloves and water or ground cloves and olive oil.

Tea
Make a fresh cup of tea then take the used tea bag (still warm) and stick it in your mouth. Careful not to tear the bag. The tannins that are naturally in tea leaves can help numb things.

Drink plenty of water. 

Dehydration can lead to a headache, especially if you've vomited recently or you're hungover. Drink a tall glass of water as soon as your head starts to hurt, and try to continue drinking small sips throughout the day. You should gradually feel the pain start to ease.

Find a quiet, dark place to take a break.

  • If you can, try to lie down and relax for at least 30 minutes. Shut the blinds, turn off the lights, and focus on your breathing.
  • Request absolute peace and quiet. If you're forced to rest around other people, explain that you have a headache and ask that they please try to be quiet and leave you undisturbed. Pre-emptively asking for cooperation can help you avoid an ugly interruption later. If you'd like, get some sleep or take a nap, but not too long though.
  • Adjust the room temperature. Some people can only relax in a cool room, while others prefer a large blanket or a space heater. Try to imitate whatever conditions work best for you when you go to sleep at night.
  • Avoid starting a fresh tension headache. Make sure your bed or couch is comfortable and that your head is supported in a position that doesn't increase the tension to your neck.
  • Wear an eye mask to block out the light.

Massage your scalp, neck and ear lobes.

  • Doing some light massage can distract you from the pain, as well as improving circulation and relieving tension. For a basic massage, gently press your fingers over your temples, and move them in slow circles. Or, try these more advanced techniques:
  • Do a scalp massage. Hop in the shower and treat yourself to a long scalp massage as you shampoo your hair. Or, for a drier version, pour a little bit of coconut or argan oil on your fingers and rub into your scalp.
  • Find two tennis or racquet balls and put them in a sock. Lie on a flat surface and place the two balls just below the base of your skull, on the occipital bone, and relax. You may feel sinus pressure or minimal discomfort at first but it will go away. This is especially helpful for sinus headaches.
  • Have someone else massage your neck and back if possible. The simple touch of someone else who cares about you can relieve a lot of tension instantly. Have them focus on the occipital region as well.
  • Gently massaging the bridge of your nose can help relieve sinus and migraine headaches.

Don't stress out: Stress can dry out your mouth, causing bad breath.
